Volunteers sought for London Olympics

Two schemes open for applications this week - 70,000 Games Makers will be needed at the main sites and beyond to help the event run smoothly, along with 8,000 London Ambassadors to welcome visitors to the city.

FREE boxing course for 11-17 year olds

Dear Coordinator

Do you know of any local children aged between 11 and 17 who are looking for something to do next week? 

The Haringey Police Community Amateur Boxing Club are running a free boxing course from 17^th to 21^st August from 10am until 2pm to teach kids the art and skills of boxing for free and keep them occupied, active and fit for a week.  Certificates, medals and trophies will be awarded at the end of the week.

This will take place at the Bernie Grant Art Centre, Approach Road, N15, which is off the High Road, Tottenham.

The phone number shown on the leaflet will not be answered over the weekend, so due to the late notice of this course, if you know of anyone that would like to attend just ask them to turn up on Monday morning at the Bernie Grant Art Centre and they will be enrolled for the week long course.
